Your mission

At Borealis Hotel Group are looking for a Maintenance Manager(f/m/d) for the ibis budget Amsterdam City South.
In the position of Maintenance Manager, you will be the point of contact for everything related to technology and maintenance. This means that you can set priorities, draw up maintenance schedules, coordinate and carry out work.
With your technical insight, you will have no problem troubleshooting and performing (simple) repairs to equipment, room furnishings, sanitary facilities, and lighting. One day you will be busy performing checks and preventive maintenance, and the next day you will be busy coordinating various technical activities with both the head office and external relations and suppliers.

Your tasks:


You will be responsible for liaising with contractors and suppliers and, as such, for scheduling periodic maintenance and necessary inspections with them.
You will also be responsible for the following tasks:
  • Planning and coordinating the necessary activities to keep the hotel compliant and carefully recording everything to meet all legal requirements
  • Managing and developing your colleagues in the technical team
  • Daily follow-up of technical problems and defects
  • Drawing up the preventive maintenance plan
  • Ordering parts needed for hotel maintenance
  • Conducting safety rounds in the hotel and providing safety training for the hotel team
  • Maintaining the H&S System online
  • Implementing any changes in laws and regulations regarding installations and safety

Your profile

For this position, we are looking for someone who is a proactive team player, enjoys varied work, and has an affinity with the hotel industry. We are also looking for the following:

• At least 2 years of experience in a relevant comparable position, preferably in a hotel environment
• Knowledge of the Dutch laws and regulations regarding installations and safety within the hotel industry
• You have good computer skills, including Word and Excel, and preferably knowledge of operating programs such as BMS
• You have a BHV diploma
• You are fluent in Dutch and English
