Your mission
Financial toppers beware!
The Borealis Hotel Group is looking for an ambitious Financial Coordinator (f/m/d) in Amstelveen. You will be a key link in a cluster of as many as 12 hotels and growing. You will work with the Cluster Director of Finance, Assistant Financial Controller and the Hotel Managers to ensure the financial processes run as smoothly as possible.
 
What does your work day look like?
  • Work in a collaborative and friendly hospitality finance team
  • Start the day with coffee/tea and review tasks with the team
  • Handle emails from hotels and prepare payments
  • Review payments with the assistant financial controller
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue invoices
  • Wrap up action items from balance checks – the day flies by!
Your profile
You are at the start of your career and want to gain a lot of knowledge in a short time, including pre-opening.
  • Strong in Dutch and English, both spoken and written
  • Excellent communication skills for daily interactions with hotels
  • Strong numerical understanding and attention to detail, with a keen eye for irregularities and a preference for working with Excel
  • Assertive and eager to learn, quickly taking on new tasks and continuously growing
  • Passion for hospitality and hotel experience, providing a solid understanding of hotel operations
  • Experience in a hotel finance department as an income auditor, accounts payable, or receivable clerk is a plus

De Borealis Hotel Groep is op zoek naar een ambitieuze financiële coördinator (f/m/d). Je wordt een belangrijke schakel in een cluster van maar liefst 12 hotels en groeiend. Je werkt samen met de Cluster Director of Finance, Assistent Financial controller en de Hotel Managers om de financiële processen zo soepel mogelijk te laten verlopen.

Hoe ziet je werkdag eruit?
Werken in de hospitality staat voor teamwork én gezelligheid, wat je dan ook terugvindt in je werk. Je start de dag met een heerlijke kop koffie of thee en neemt dag door met het finance team. Nadat je de mails hebt beantwoord van de uit de hotels moeten de betalingen voorbereid wordt. Wanneer dit af is neem je dit door met de assistent financial controller. Hierna kijk je naar de stand van de accounts receivable lijst en het valt je op dat er een bedrijf is waarbij een factuur lang onbetaald is. Hierover neem je contact op met het bedrijf. Je krijgt te horen dat de factuur volgende week betaald gaat worden. Je hebt nog wat actiepunten open van de balanscontrole die is gedaan. Hierna is de dag alweer voorbij, het is voorbij gevlogen!

Jouw profiel
Je staat aan de start van je carrière en wil in een korte tijd veel kennis op doen, waaronder pre-opening.
  • Je bent sterk in de Nederlandse en Engelse taal, in gesprek en schrift.
  • Je hebt goede communicatieve vaardigheden die je nodig hebt in de communicatie met de hotels die je dagelijks hebt
  • Je hebt cijfermatig inzicht en werkt accuraat, zodat onregelmatigheden je snel opvallen. Je vindt het leuk om met Excel te werken
  • Je bent assertief en leergierig, waardoor je snel nieuwe werkzaamheden erbij kan krijgen en jouw leercurve blijft stijgen
  • Je hebt passie voor de hospitality en ervaring in hotels, waardoor je een goed begrip hebt van wat er speelt in een hotel.
  • Ervaring op een financiële afdeling van een hotel als income auditor, accounts payable of receivable medewerker is een pré
